Operators first. Investors by design.

Five partners who have built companies, raised institutional capital, and delivered results across Southeast Asia — now deploying that experience for the next generation of founders.

Meet the Partners

Ronald Robins

General Partner

SERIAL ENTREPRENEUR

Founder of Mineski and architect of Southeast Asia's largest esports organization, Ronald has built multiple businesses from zero to $25M USD in revenue and above. Across 20+ companies in 7 countries, he has navigated every stage of growth — from bootstrapping a cybercafe network to 160 stores across 4 countries, to raising capital and working with institutional investors at scale.

At Sigma Ventures, he brings that full-cycle founder-to-funder experience to every deal, specializing in zero-to-one business building, cross-border expansion, and connecting entrepreneurs to the capital and networks they need to grow.

Grant Cheng

General Partner

ING FINEX CFO OF THE YEAR

Grant brings a rare breadth to Sigma — institutional-grade experience across all three pillars of finance, giving portfolio companies and founders a single partner who can address virtually any finance challenge.

As CFO of Cebu Landmasters — one of the Philippines' largest publicly listed real estate developers — he held full executive responsibility across accounting, treasury, tax, governance, FP&A, and capital strategy, earning the ING FINEX CFO of the Year award in the process. At BDO Capital, he led deal teams on some of the largest transactions in the local market: IPOs, project finance, leveraged buyouts, and financial advisory. Before that, eight years in Singapore's top private banking institutions managing institutional and private wealth for high-net-worth individuals.

Andre Uy

General Partner

1M+ USERS IN UNDER 2 YRS

President and CEO of SportsPlus PH — the Philippines' #1 PAGCOR-licensed sportsbook, launched in 2022 and scaled to over 1 million registered users. Under Andre's leadership, SportsPlus PH secured the official gaming partnership of the Philippine Olympic Committee, and became the 2026 title sponsor of Manny Pacquiao's MPBL.

At Sigma Ventures, he brings firsthand experience of scaling a digital consumer platform in one of the region's fastest-growing regulated gaming markets.

Stephen Chua

General Partner

MANAGED OVER $10M

With over 15 years across Philippine startups, angel investing, and diverse industries—from industrial engineering and manufacturing to digital marketing tech to esports and retail entertainment—He has managed over $10 million, weathered failures that taught him more than any success could, and earned the trust of founders and investors alike. He sourced, invested in, and executed a partial exit from Vanguart, an ultra-luxury Swiss watchmaker whose timepieces now command up to $200,000 and grace the wrists of collectors like John Mayer, Ed Sheeran, and Michael Jordan—demonstrating his ability to identify rare opportunities and create value across even the most rarefied markets. In a capital-scarce market like the Philippines, he balances profitable, cash-generating companies with high-growth ventures positioned for international exits.

At Sigma, he turns hard-earned experience into lasting value for founders and steady returns for LPs—the Local Market Specialist, built for markets where capital is earned, not assumed.

Marito De Jesus, Jr.

General Partner

US$200K CAPITAL RECOVERED

Marito integrates high-level financial strategy directly into real-world business operations and regulatory compliance. A veteran operator who builds finance and administrative functions from scratch, his multidisciplinary track record includes building and sharpening business models across BPO, mining, construction, equipment rental, shipping, aviation, oil & gas, and port utilization. He brings extensive experience working alongside family businesses at every critical phase—from starting up and professionalizing operations to scaling growth and diversifying into new markets.

Now at Sigma Ventures, he applies that business-building rigor to portfolio companies—stress-testing plans and securing a solid financial foundation before founders scale.
